May Sermon Series

"Miracles" Series - Sundays @ 8:30am, 10am or 11am...

“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.” (Psalm 77:14 NIV)
Jesus calmed a storm, turned water into wine, healed a paralytic, fed thousands with a boy's lunch, restored a man's sight, & raised a man from the dead! Does God still perform miracles today?

Join us this Sunday morning at 8:30, 10 or 11 as we explore a few of the miracles of Jesus. All are welcome!

Celebrate Recovery - Small Groups

WHAT IS CELEBRATE RECOVERY?
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 25 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.

Celebrate Recovery small groups offer support and encouragement to anyone seeking freedom and wholeness in Christ as the one and only Higher Power.
Small groups meet weekly and include individuals of the same gender who are struggling with a similar hurt, habit or hang up. Groups are led by trained facilitators and offer a safe place for men and women to be honest about areas where they are hurting or experiencing defeat.  Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements of the group. As we keep coming back, the Lord extends love and grace through the care we experience from others in the group.
Individuals who participate in Celebrate Recovery support groups report that they gain new insights, find freedom from addictive and compulsive behaviours and develop skills for building healthier relationships with themselves, with God and with others.

Things we are:  a safe place to share; a refuge; a place of belonging; a place to care for others and be cared for; a place where respect is given to each member; a place where confidentiality is highly regarded; a place to learn; a place to demonstrate genuine love; a place to grow and become strong again; a place for progress; a place to take off your mask and allow others to know who you are; a place for healthy challenges and healthy risks; a possible turning point in your life.

Our CR small groups meet 6:30-8:00 pm each Thursday at the Chapel (on the hill) on our church campus.  Contact the church office for more info (803.593.3114)
